One of the most amazing feelings as an artist is that feeling you get from a bit of recognition. It's validating. It's encouraging. It's motivating. It's exciting! I feel like I've been getting more than my share of recognition lately. Just a simple compliment makes me feel that way, but recently I struck gold- I was featured in a magazine!
At Home Magazine is a quarterly issued publication for upstate South Carolina. I was BEYOND thrilled when they invited me out to one of their photography studios to take a few shots of my flowers. I wasn't expecting this kind of coverage and I am so grateful for the support!
The article touches on how I got started with felt florals and a little bit about the craft. M. Linda Lee did a great job with the article (oh, the flower puns!) and Will Crooks worked wonders behind the lens. Here's an extra shot he got me and I just had to share it!
Another fun media moment for me and Leaph Boutique was a short behind-the-scenes feature on Scene on 7 for the Indie Craft Parade. They wanted to share a couple artists getting ready for the show and I was able to share my little studio with the local viewers!
I'm still recovering from Indie Craft Parade (I sold out- yay!) but I have lots of things in the works. I've recently updated my website to reflect all of the local events I'll be set up at in the coming months so be sure to check those out if you are local!
